    A day after he was released from jail, a controversial advocate for the homeless showed up at a Daytona Beach Police Department crime trends meeting and debated with the interim police chief over his methods to draw attention to the plight of the city's street people. Interim Chief Craig Capri made it clear to Mike Pastore that the way he has been going about helping the homeless has been ineffective.  Capri ended his conversation with Pastore with a statement that prompted applause from the public at the police department's bi-monthly gathering: "It's not about you Mike, it's about the homeless people," Capri said.
