Paul P. Dugal Jr., 52, of Mohawk Forest Boulevard, was traveling eastbound on Route 2 near the Western Summit on the night of Aug. 5, when his 2000 Volvo S40 went off of the road, hit a guard rail and went into a ditch, according to North Adams Police.

    SPRINGFIELD >> A North Adams who downloaded violent child porn, secretly recorded others at nude beaches and at a women's dormitory at a local college has been sentenced to more than four years in federal prison. Wade J. Galli, 49, was arrested in May 2013 following a monthlong probe by members of the Massachusetts Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, who were able to access child pornography on Galli's computer through a peer-to-peer file sharing network.

    Wade Galli was also sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Springfield to 10 years of probation upon release after pleading guilty to one count of possession of child pornography. Prosecutors described the 49-year-old Galli's collection of more than 200 pictures and 37 videos as "horrific."
