    In the first test case since possible flaws with Breathalyzer machines were aired, a jury may not hear the most damning evidence against a Woburn man accused by Tewksbury police of driving drunk and registering more than twice the legal limit. Justin Patterson's trial is scheduled for Aug. 10, but Lowell District Court Judge Daniel Crane on Monday gave prosecutors an ultimatum: Be prepared to argue at a July 13 hearing why the Breathalyzer results should be used at trial, otherwise the judge will exclude the results.

    Gov. Charlie Baker has announced that the statewide travel ban has been lifted for Berkshire, Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden Counties for local and I-91 traffic only, effective immediately. The travel ban remains in effect for the entire length of the Massachusetts Turnpike, Interstate 90, and for Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Essex, Middlesex, Nantucket, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk, and Worcester Counties with only essential workers, health care and human service professionals and others specifically exempted, permitted to travel.
