    Authorities in Newton, Kan., responded to a report of a driver leaving a McPherson County gas station without paying at about 1 p.m. Police determined the vehicle, a 2009 Lexus RX, was reported stolen from the Wichita area on Wednesday, Jan. 25. Gary Edward Beall, 47, of Sterling, was taken into custody after a high-speed chase, crash and ensuing foot chase through a field. He is being held in Harvey County, Kan., on charges of possession of stolen property , fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, fugitive from justice, aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, interference with a law enforcement officer, obstruct or resist in felony case.
