    A 55-year-old Newaygo County man was arrested Saturday after allegedly assaulting his adult son and for possessing 4.5 pounds of marijuana, according to Michigan State Police. Troopers were called to a home in Brooks Township, near the city of Newaygo, to investigate an assault complaint, and they later learned that the 55-year-old had assaulted his adult son.
