    A federal judge issued a warrant for the arrest of the former CEO of the former Valor Federal Credit Union after he failed to appear for sentencing Monday on charges of stealing more than $700,000 from the institution. Sean E. Jelen's attorney, Joshua Lowther, told U.S. District Judge Malachy Mannion his client notified him Sunday night that he was receiving treatment at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

    The man arrested Monday on charges alleging he set fire to a borough home, killing his ex-girlfriend's children, has a history of alleged criminal activity - and hails from a family with a troubled past. Preston Daquen Bonnett, 26, of 173 Jones St., Wilkes-Barre, is charged with two counts of criminal homicide and three counts of arson over the fire that broke out at 60 Oakwood Drive the night of Oct. 25. According to investigators, Bonnett, who is originally from New York, comes from a troubled past, having both a father and brother who had been shot.
