    New Paris, Ohio, and a 1972 graduate of Purdue University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in food science. Steve worked for Miller Dairy in Cambridge City, Indiana, Meadow Gold Dairy in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Chris Hansen, Inc. in Wisconsin, Wayne Dairy in Richmond, and he retired from Richmond Baking Company in 2003. In his retirement years, he enjoyed alpaca farming, working at Meridian Health Services, and driving for GrandView Pharmacy. Steve was a member of First Friends Meeting. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, and outdoorsman. Steve enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Barbara Jo Howell Kendall; children, Heather Jo (Kyle) Cline of Columbus, Ohio, and Brian John Kendall of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Cole and Kaden Cline; sisters, Kathy (Larry) Snyder of Centerville, Indiana, and Jenny Mahoney of Florida; brother, David Kendall of Florida; nieces; nephews; three aunts; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Connor Cline and parents. Visitation for Stephen John Kendall will be from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, 26, 2015, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Derek Parker officiating. Burial will be in Germantown Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to: First Friends Meeting, for the piano fund, 2010 Chester Blvd., Richmond, IN 47374 or Reid Foundation for the Hospice Program, 1100 Reid Parkway, Richmond, IN 47374.     New Paris, OH, formerly of Fountain City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, at Golden Living Golden Rule. She was born on April 17, 1940 in Lexington, Kentucky to Roger Stevens and Nancy Cummins Mackey. She was a graduate of Richmond High School and was a retired telephone operator from GTE. Mrs. Mayberry will be missed by her husband of 55 years, Jay Mayberry, whom she married on February 26, 1960; daughter & son-in-law, Linda & John Martin; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters, Mary Johnson and Joann Mayberry; and one brother, Gene Beckley. Mrs. Mayberry was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Jean Zurcher, in 2002; her parents, and brother, Michael Beckley, in 2011. A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
