Dennis, 28, and Patrick A. Groves, 24, both of Wheeling, are charged with numerous counts of distributing crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of various protected locations including Bishop Donahue High School in McMechen as well as West Virginia Northern Community College and Ritchie Elementary School in Wheeling.

    A week after Columbia Pipeline Group patched a 6-inch pipeline to stop natural gas from leaking into Wetzel County's Fishing Creek, the company completed a permanent repair Wednesday. Columbia spokesman Scott Castleman said company officials believe the leak never posed any threat to wildlife or the environment, noting the natural gas would simply rise to the surface of the creek in form of bubbles before exiting the water supply.
