Bluemound Road, at approximately 7 a.m. April 27. The purse was found in the basement but a cloth wallet containing the cash and cards was missing.

    A Bobcat was stolen from Kelly's Greenscape at a construction site at 16960 W. Greenfield Ave. sometime before 2:37 p.m. April 18. The GPS for the Bobcat was found in the woods of an empty lot in the 18800 block of South Noorwood Drive, New Berlin. Three lights and a backup alarm with total value of $1,200 were stolen from a business at 405 N. Calhoun Road, between 3 p.m. April 18 and 8 a.m. April 19. Two shirts with a total value of $196 were shoplifted by a man from DXL Destination XL, 17445 W. Bluemound Road, at about 5 p.m. April 19. The complainant told police that two other suspects assisted in the theft, with one being a lookout and the other distracting an employee.

The CARE stands for "credit abuse resistance education" and the program was founded by a bankruptcy judge after he saw a lot of really young people coming into his court needing to file for bankruptcy because of credit card abuse, Brockmeyer said.

    After years of looking into the possibility, the city of Brookfield has tentatively entered into an agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the widening of North Calhoun Road between West North Avenue and West Capitol Drive. Under the agreement, the DOT will administer federal funds to cover 80 percent of the estimated cost of the design and construction of the project, and the city would put up the remaining 20 percent.
