    Onondaga County sheriff's detectives are asking the public to identify a woman who used a stolen credit card to make purchases at a Nedrow grocery store. The department says a woman used a credit card at the Green Hills Market June 6 minutes after she stole the card from a customer's purse in the parking lot outside.

Gregory Cheek, 20, of 8324 Cedar Crest Circle in the town of Clay and Jason Acevedo, 21, of 142 W. Roswell Ave., Nedrow, are accused of entering the Hess Mart at 6020 S. Salina St., with their faces covered and both armed with long guns, Onondaga County sheriff's spokesman Jon Seeber said.

    A Nedrow driver's lawyer said he was surprised that the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office indicted his client on a felony assault charge for his alleged role in a bus crash that injured 26 on Interstate 81. Robert Tarbell, 37, of 111 Leonard Ave., is facing an assault charge that carries up to 25 years in prison after leaving his disabled vehicle on southbound Interstate 81. Deputies said that caused a bus to crash, injuring 26, between I-481 and the Onondaga Nation. A grand jury indicted Tarbell on those charges, plus the harsher assault charge.
