    A bankruptcy court judge ruled Monday that Erin Andrews ' stalker, who secretly recorded the sportscaster through a door peephole in a Nashville hotel room in 2008, must pay the $28 million awarded by a jury, according to federal court filings. Records show Michael David Barrett, who pleaded guilty to criminal charges in 2009 and served prison time in the case, filed for bankruptcy in Oregon where he lives.

    A judge on Tuesday confirmed the sentencing of convicted rapist and former Vanderbilt University football player Cory Batey remains set for next week. The move came on the heels of Judge Monte D. Watkins denying a request from Batey's lawyer, Worrick Robinson, to withdraw as being the attorney for the sentencing hearing set for July 15. During the brief hearing in Davidson County court, Robinson told the judge he filed the motion because shortly after his conviction Batey's family informed Robinson that they planned to hire another attorney for next week's hearing.

The jury deliberated more than four hours before delivering the verdicts at about 8:20 p.m. Jurors found Vandenburg guilty on all counts: Five counts of aggravated rape, two counts of aggravated sexual battery and unlawful photography.
