    By DEBBIE DILJAK Despite a shaky start to their Monday called meeting, Nash and Edgecombe commissioners still agreed to leave Rocky Mount officials out of funding negotiations concerning Nash-Rocky Mount schools, and both sides say they are close to an agreement that would keep the current school system intact. The meeting began with a memo presented by Edgecombe county manager Eric Evans, in which he stated that commissioners agreed to pay a proportionate cost of capitol funding for Rocky Mount schools.
