Just like last year, the showdown between Oakridge and host Muskegon Catholic Central took the top spot in the fan poll with 6,707 votes, good for 54 percent.

    Family of 13-year-old Jamarion Gomez, the teen pulled from Lake Michigan nine days ago while swimming at a Muskegon area beach, say he has died. Jamarion's mother posted on her Facebook page that her son died just before 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. Jamarion was with other family members at Pere Marquette beach on Aug. 11 when he was found face-down in the water.
