    A 35-year-old Muskegon County woman who says she has a serious addiction to methadone has been pinpointed as a suspect in a slew of door-to-door scams in which she claimed to be raising funds for her child's school field trip. According to Muskegon County Chief Trial Attorney Matthew Roberts, Andrea Jean Robar is among a group of suspects believed to be scamming or attempting to scam a number of residents out of funds, claiming she's trying to send her child on a field trip.

    A Muskegon man has been charged with felonies for allegedly firing off celebratory rounds from a handgun while inside his vehicle on Sunday, March 22. According to authorities Quincy Lee Goodman was inside a vehicle around 2 a.m. on Sunday in the area of Fifth Street and Washington Avenue in the city of Muskegon when he fired off a number of gunshots from a 9 millimeter gun while inside a vehicle. Muskegon County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Timothy Maat said a warrant has been signed for Goodman.

    A Lakeside neighborhood bar remains one of several establishments in the city of Muskegon that are in jeopardy of losing their liquor licenses. The Lakeshore Tavern, 1963 Lakeshore Dr., is not up to date on its city income tax payments and therefore is on a list of establishments the city is suggesting to the state should not have their liquor licenses renewed, according to Muskegon City Clerk Ann Cummings.
