    Awesome news for parents and non-parents alike: Sessions of Southern Girls' Rock 'n' Roll Camp will happen at the camp's traditional home on the MTSU campus and here in Music City this summer. Youth Empowerment through Arts and Humanities, SGRRC's parent organization, announced that their flagship program - a week-long camp where, in addition to learning about a multitude of aspects of the music industry from screen-printing to recording, girls ages 10 to 17 form bands and learn a song that they'll perform at the camp's showcase concert - will set up shop July 6-10 at I.T. Creswell Magnet School.

Always eager to hear about the dangers posed by a weapon that can be thwarted by sitting in your car, standing in an elevator, or getting inside a bag lined with aluminum foil, I tried to go to the Task Force's website Wednesday evening.

    A friend of mine who never met his biological father used to tell me the only time he thought about his dad was when he was driving along the interstate, and he'd sometimes catch himself wondering whether he'd passed his father going in the other direction.
