    During this month's Muldrow school board meeting, the board went over the general fund, payroll and budgets; and Assistant Superintendent Clifta Fugett went over new guidelines in regards to foster children, while Superintendent Ron Flanagan discussed a hacking incident prior to the meeting. Flanagan reported that there had been a hacking incident with the school system - the first occurred on Dec. 9, which he found out from other students, and happened again on Dec. 12. He said it was discovered to be two male students and they have been disciplined.

    A Muldrow man, who was sentenced to more than 24 years in prison for manufacturing methamphetamine, with the intent to distribute, in 1998 received a presidential commutation Monday when President Barak Obama cut almost five years from Daryl Lain Hook's sentence. According to documents from the United States Court of Appeals, a 1996 investigation traced the sale of large quantities of methamphetamine in Fort Smith and the Eastern Oklahoma area to Hook, who was convicted in 1998 and sentenced to 292 months in prison and five years supervised release.

This is the second year Muldrow has participated in the program, which allows high school teams to play a game on the Thunder's home court and then attend a game.
