    Traffic congestion along Interstate 526 near the exit to Wando Welch Terminal continued on Monday, but nowhere near the level that shut down traffic for miles last week as the State Ports Authority implemented a new automated gate system for truckers visiting the Mount Pleasant cargo terminal. The state's Department of Transportation maintained an advisory for the area on Monday, saying “motorists should anticipate heavy traffic in the vicinity” of the terminal, located off Long Point Road.
