    Rory McKellips was found guilty in March of 2013 of using a computer device to facilitate a sex crime, but not guilty of two charges alleging repeated sexual assault of a 15-year-old and exposing his genitals. The court ruled that Judge Mike Moran inappropriately sent jury instructions along that had the jury decide whether or not the flip phone McKellips had bought to use in the crime was a computerized communications device.

    Highway 97 at Eau Pleine Street near Stratford is expected to remain closed to traffic in both directions until at least 7:00 p.m. Two rescue crews recovered the occupants of two cars and a semi truck shortly after 3:15 p.m. Highway 17 north of Merrill is expected to remain blocked to traffic until at least 7:30 p.m. There was a head-on crash near Smith Road, about three miles north of Highway 64. This crash happened at 1:30 p.m. Detour information for the Highway 17 crash: Northbound traffic will go north on County G and follow County G back to WIS 17. Southbound traffic will go north on Norwegian Road to County C, west on County C to County K, south on County K to US 51. Additional crashes have been reported in the Mosinee area.
