    The Madrid-Waddington Boys and the Edwards-Knox Girls saw vaunted winning streaks ended one game short of their respective New York State Finals, on Saturday, in a doubleheader of Regional Championship games at Plattsburgh High School. In the first game the number four state ranked Lady Cougars suffered their first loss of the season to an unranked but quick-striking Moriah team which scored first and then rallied from a 2-1 deficit to secure a 3-2 win.
