    The U.S. Marshals Service Mountain State Fugitive Task Force is requesting the public's assistance in locating a 57-year-old man who is accused of raping two young girls in Front Royal, Virginia. Michael Haymond, also known as Mike, is 5-foot-9, 165 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, according to a press release from U.S. Marshal Gary Gaskins' office.

    West Virginia's U.S. senators say two municipalities are sharing almost $27 million in loans and grants from the Department of Agriculture for improving their water and wastewater systems. According to Sens. Shelley Moore Capito and Joe Manchin, the town of Moorefield will get almost $16.9 million in loans and $8.35 million in grants from the USDA Office of Rural Development.

    Government records show West Virginia has the highest default rate on college student loans in the nation. According to the U.S. Department of Education, the default rate in West Virginia in 2016 was 18.3 percent, up from 16.2 percent in 2015.
