Morrison, 73, of Cogan Station, was arrested Monday evening at a business where he was giving a private drum lesson and committed to the county prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.

    The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation says it will seek bids this week for an emergency contract to repair damage that a hit-run vehicle did last month to the Route 225 bridge over Mahanoy Creek in Dornsife. The good news is the single span truss bridge built in 1941 can be repaired but the bad news is it is going to take a while to complete the work, Lloyd Ayres, bridge engineer for the PennDOT district in Montoursville, said Monday.
