If it was about opportunity, Midd-West would have won its District 4 Class AA girls soccer semifinal in the first half Monday. The scoring portion of the evening didn't begin until the second half though, and it played out like the Kansas City Royals in this year's baseball postseason. Comment?

Midd-West came into the District 4 Class AA girls soccer tournament after ending the regular season on a bit of a roller coaster ride, with an unfriendly drop at the finish. Wednesday's quarterfinal against Selinsgrove was less amusement park ride than circus sideshow - a little bit of trickery, some deception, and the pea isn't under the shell you thought it was.
