    UPDATE 11/23/16 11:15 AM: Monterey Police released the name of the man shot and killed early Wednesday morning in the Cannery Row Parking Garage in the 600 block of Wave Street. Officers responded to a report of gunshots at approximately 1:41 a.m. and found Melendez suffering from several gunshot wounds.
