    Do local Democrats realize that their congressman, Jimmy Panetta, voted for a Republican-sponsored House resolution in favor of Israel's continuing development of settlements in the West Bank on land which is supposed to go to the Palestinians in any two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian problem? All members of the United Nations' Security Council voted for a resolution condemning Benjamin Netanyahu's approval of continuing development of these settlements. Opposition by Panetta and others to the security council resolution means opposition to the two-state solution and condemnation of both Israelis and Palestinians to living in one state, which is not in the best interest of either.
