    The race for the 112th General Assembly District seat representing Newtown and Monroe has become one of the strangest in the state. The former wife of J.P. Sredzinski, the Republican candidate, was found badly injured near his Monroe condominium on Windgate Circle on Aug. 25. Jennifer Sredzinski, 41, died of her injuries three days later and her boyfriend, Thomas Fischer, has since been arrested for violating a protective order that followed an assault on her in Virginia months earlier.
