    A 67-year-old Greene man remained at the Kennebec County Jail on Christmas Eve unable to post $10,000 cash bail after being accused of causing a standoff late Tuesday. Douglass McCaig, who also lives in Vero Beach, Florida, is charged with one count each of failing to stop for a police officer, driving to endanger, operating under the influence of intoxicants, criminal threatening, refusing to submit to arrest and creating a police standoff, according to a news release issued Wednesday by the Monmouth Police Department.
