    New York State Police say three out-of-state men have been charged one of them jumped from an interstate highway bridge spanning the Mohawk River. Troopers say they received a report Sunday afternoon of a man about to jump off the Kosciuszko Bridge, which carries Interstate 87 over the Mohawk 10 miles north of Albany.

And it appears the 24-milliongallon spill of untreated sewage - which continued for eight consecutive days in December 2013 - was reported by DEC as zero gallons under a 2013 state spill reporting law meant to protect the public from health risks linked to contact with contaminated water.

    A 54-year-old Carbondale man died this morning in Susquehanna County when his vehicle veered into oncoming traffic on Interstate 81 and struck a tractor trailer, state police at Gibson said. It's unclear why Joseph T. Larkin traveled across the median on I-81 North at 5:38 a.m. When he did, he collided head-on with Matthew Beam, a 35-year-old man from Mohawk, New York, who was traveling south in a commercial vehicle, state police said.
