From the jump, the Dawgs took control by quickly getting out to a double digit lead at the under-12 timeout.

    Mississippi State athletics announced today that Jim Ellis, the longtime broadcaster of Mississippi State football, basketball, and baseball will be retiring from football and basketball, though he will still be calling Mississippi State baseball. Since 1983, Ellis has been a part of MSU's basketball broadcast team, including the Bulldogs' memorable 1996 NCAA Final Four run.

More and more people were convinced that "Student-Athlete B" was Leo Lewis, a linebacker for Mississippi State, due to rumors and Ole Miss fans got #madonline in response, in some cases wishing for a bounty system to be set up to injure Lewis in the Egg Bowl.
