    Judge Robert Docherty set bail and conditions for a 28-year-old New Ulm man facing charges of felony third-degree murder, third-degree aiding and abetting narcotic drug sale, and third-degree narcotic drug sale conspiracy in Brown County District Court. The Brown County Attorney's Office charged Frederickson and Logan S. Harris, 36, of New Ulm, with multiple charges related to the sale of methamphetamine alleged to have happened in New Ulm on July 8 and 9. The meth was allegedly sold to Maurice Kimball, 24, of New Ulm, who later suffered methamphetamine overdose symptoms while in custody at the Brown County Jail, according to court documents.

    A 28-year-old New Ulm man facing charges of felony third-degree murder, third-degree aid and abet narcotic sale, and third-degree narcotic sale conspiracy turned himself in to local law enforcement Tuesday morning. New Ulm Chief of Police Myron Wieland said Andrew J. Frederickson was accompanied by family members when he surrendered to police peacefully at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The Brown County Attorney's Office charged Logan S. Harris, 36; and Andrew J. Frederickson, 28; both of 400 S. State St., related to the sale of methamphetamine that occurred in New Ulm on July 8 & 9, 2016, according to an attorney's office press release.

    Oktoberfest in New Ulm is not only a fun time for celebrants, it is a chance for German dignitaries to visit the most German city in the U.S. Baarbara Mller, the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Minneapolis, arrived in New Ulm Saturday morning with her husband, James Caudron to serve as the grand marshals of the German-American Day Parade. She was joined later in the day by Consul General Herbert Quelle from the German consulate in Chicago, who stopped on his way back from a trip to South Dakota in time to celebrate at the Best Western Plus and preside with Mller over the fest keg opening.
