A new report issued Tuesday from the U.S. Geological Survey says the August 2011 earthquake in Louisa County may have been the most widely-felt in U.S. history. The 5.8 quake centered in Mineral was the largest in the Eastern U.S. since an 1886 quake in South Carolina, the report said. 4 comments
Virginia State Police responded to that accident at 8:50 p.m. The crash occurred at Route 605 one mile south of Route 33 in Louisa County. Police investigation revealed that a 1993 Honda civic was traveling south on Shannon Hill Road when it ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Comment?
