    The 14th Annual Woods, Water & Wildlife Festival will take place at Branch Hill Farm, 307 Applebee Road in Milton Mills on Saturday, Aug. 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This family-friendly celebration of the natural world features fun and educational outdoor activities with lots of new events this year: you and your kids can make chicken hand puppets and learn about raising chickens at home, build houses for native bees, or become “Watershed Warriors" by completing six activity stations about keeping lakes healthy.

The society's building was constructed in 1916 as the Milton Free Public Library in Milton Mills with money donated by Samuel Remick, who lived in poverty, sleeping on a wooden box instead of a bed and eating meals with neighbors to save money for this lifelong dream.

She was established in 1910 thanks to a generous gift by Samuel Remick and was originally sited in the present home of The Milton Historical Society.
