    On March 12, 2002, just past 2 o'clock in the morning, two women were traveling to Destin from Panama City on U.S. Highway 98 when their car broke down.     Two people died after a three-vehicle crash early Wednesday shut down all lanes of Interstate 10 around 5 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol media release, Zachary Whiddon, 23, of Freeport, was driving his 1999 Ford Ranger west in the inside lane, when his truck veered into the median, overturned and rolled across the eastbound lanes.  A toolbox in the bed of his truck flew off and hit the windshield of 63-year-old Nicholas Dwight Fuentes of Milton. Fuentes' Jetta traveled through the median, crossed the westbound lanes and struck several trees in the woodline, the release said.  A third driver, 20-year-old Caleb Lee of Gretna, had to take evasive action to avoid Fuentes' car.
