    Congratulations to the Mid-Crest Panther football organization. For the first time in program history all three Panther teams made it to their respective championship game. In the first game of the day the Panthers' junior varsity team held off the Crete Bulldogs 9-6 in an epic defensive battle. The Panther pee-wee team put op a valiant effort but could not keep up with a speedy Crete team. Crete broke a 7-7 halftime tie early in the 3rd quarter and went on to win 20-7. In the main event of Championship Sunday, the Mid-Crest varsity team wrapped up a perfect 12-0 season with a 25-0 pounding of the Calumet City Chargers. The shutout was the ninth of the season for the varsity Panthers. Congratulations to all the Mid-Crest Panther teams on their successful seasons!
