Mr. Ceresa was born Nov. 19, 1949 in Bridgeport to the late Emile and Edna Ceresa and was a graduate of Warren Harding High School, class of 1967. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Ann, of 38 years, in addition to his devoted children: son, Brian Ceresa and his wife, Jennifer, of Middlebury; daughter, Tara Ceresa, of Prospect, and his beautiful grandchildren, Veronica, Jordan, and Vivian.

Up for grabs is control of the state Senate, which is currently evenly divided 17-17.
