    October 2, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a Middle Island crash that killed a motorcyclist on Monday, October 1. Brian Ruggero was riding a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle at a high rate of speed southbound on County Road 21 when, in an attempt to go around a tractor trailer that had pulled into the roadway, drove along the shoulder, struck a landscaping rock at the end of the road and a utility pole in front of 64 County Road 21 at approximately 3:25 a.m. The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check.
