    By Roxanne Thompson Staff Writer A proposal to hire a private investigator to track down tools and other items missing from the county prison appears to have been put aside for now, though a new plan to find the missing items has not yet been developed. Toward the end of the commissioners court's June 14 meeting, the court went into executive session, which is closed to the public, to discuss matters concerning the Limestone County Detention Center, the county-owned private prison that has been empty since June 2013.

The weather station at Limestone County Airport recorded 5.77 inches overnight, with 6.51 inches reported in a station on FM 1365 in Mexia.
