    A Merrick man has been charged with assault after he knocked out a man, then ran over him and hit a Good Samaritan outside a bar Sunday in Farmingdale, police said. Jonathan Bencosme, 28, of Narwood Avenue, was arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead on charges of first-degree and second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment, according to Nassau County police.
