    A Merrick man has been charged with stealing an acquaintance's debit card and making more than $17,000 worth of withdrawals, Nassau police said. Police said Matthew B. Leone, 32, stole the debit card of a 68-year-old man whom he knew and made "numerous withdrawals" between January and March.
