    It's not yet Spring but don't tell these tulips being sold at the Menlo Park Farmers Market today by the folks from McGinnis Ranch in Watsonville. According to the CUESA website, Howard McGinnis started farming in 1968 and is now mentoring his daughter, Sandi, and granddaughter, Sara, who plan to go all organic this year.

    Last June, the Menlo Park Police Department initiated a criminal investigation into a suspect who had possibly defrauded an elderly woman of over $145,000. The suspect, Alexis Parr, doing business as "Lumiflex Corporation", befriended and convinced the 92-year-old victim to purchase stock in his company, in violation of numerous securities fraud statutes.

    This morning at approximately 9:39 a.m., the Menlo Park Police Department received a call from an alert resident advising police of two suspicious subjects lurking around in the 100 block of Oak Court in Menlo Park. The resident noticed that the two subjects first knocked on the front door of a neighbor's house and when nobody answered, the two subjects walked around to the rear of the house and out of view.
