    The widening of State Route 74 will require the California Department of Transportation to acquire a portion of Eller Park in Menifee from the County of Riverside, but the Riverside County Board of Supervisors showed support for that acquisition May 22. The supervisors' 5-0 vote approved the conveyance of a fee simple interest of 10,362 square feet and a temporary easement interest of 6,702 square feet to Caltrans, which will pay the fair market value price of $55,300. The supervisors also allowed the county to absorb the $16,000 of staff labor costs involved in the transaction, which will leave the county with proceeds of $39,300.
