    Court documents released Tuesday show the Gulf Bend Center settled a lawsuit in April brought by three former employees for a total of $45,000. Gulf Bend and former Associate Executive Director David Way, who was also named in the lawsuit, admitted no wrongdoing in exchange for former employees Christina Adame Garza, Raymond Garza Jr. and Philip Daniel Henneke dismissing their claims in this lawsuit as well as in a Fair Labor Standards Act lawsuit filed in September.

    Pappillion was arrested on suspicion of possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram and on a warrant charging him with two counts of tampering with a witness and obstruction or retaliation. While serving the arrest warrant, officers observed marijuana "in plain sight" at Pappillion's home and obtained a search warrant.
