    Judge Clark Ritchie issued a bench warrant in Shenandoah County Circuit Court for the arrest of Gary Michael Ladd, 42, of 6183 Zepp Road, Maurertown, on two charges of forcible sodomy of a child. Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Austin Hovermale told Ritchie that Ladd had charges in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court scheduled for the Thursday docket.

Colin Greene, the director of the Lord Fairfax Health District, said that there were no signs that anyone had been bitten, saying that was likely the reason why it took two weeks for test results to come in for the cat.

    Colin Greene, the director of the Lord Fairfax Health District, said that a black cat in Maurertown attacked three people on Friday in two separate attacks. "Those people got treated in the emergency room and the emergency rooms will then send animal bite reports to us," According to a news release from the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office, another person reported on Wednesday being bitten by a cat of a similar description in Maurertown.
