    A Parkersburg woman was charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, the Parkersburg Violent Crimes and Narcotics Task Force reported on Wednesday. An investigation led to a search warrant for the residence at 2106 17th St. where agents found an ounce of suspected methamphetamine, an ounce of suspected marijuana, digital scales, packaging materials, a Glock pistol and more than $2,900, the task force said.

    Brooks Espy, 59, of 51 Brandi Drive, Mineral Wells, was sentenced to 18 months in prison Tuesday for embezzling more than $150,000 from Alliance Industries between 2007 and 2013. Espy was charged with grand theft, a third-degree felony, after funds were discovered missing in late 2013 and early 2014 while Espy was working as a member of the company's information technology department.

    A St. Marys woman suspected of posing the corpse of a New Matamoras man last summer on another woman's porch was arrested Monday during a drug raid in New Matamoras, officials said. Lynsey Brooke Erb, 29, of 811 Pioneer Community Road, was arrested for tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, and abuse of a corpse, a fifth-degree felony, after officials with the Washington County Sheriff's Office connected Erb through DNA to the drug overdose death of Matthew Lamp, 38, of New Matamoras, who died July 19, officials said.
