    The Canton post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious crash which occurred at approximately 11:50 a.m. Wednesday on state Route 241 near Alabama Avenue Southwest. Dennis D. Shonk, 65, of Sherer Ave. S.W., Canton, was operating a 2004 Ford Ranger northbound on state Route 241 when he slid off the left side of the roadway while attempting to avoid contact with an Amish buggy, which was also northbound on state Route 241.
