    Police said a man driving a gray Ford Crown Victoria approached a male in the area of 840 E. Fifth St., identified himself as a Marysville police officer and told the person he needed to move his semitrailer off the lot, according to a news release issued by police Tuesday morning, Feb. 10. The incident happened about 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7. According to police, the person who was approached described the suspect's vehicle as clean, with no emblems or markings and no damage. The suspect is described as a white man, 30 to 40 years old, clean-shaven with short brown hair.

    The board of the Central Ohio Youth Center has fired a corrections officer charged with using excessive force on a juvenile inmate, ending a 7-year work history in which the officer had almost three dozen other disciplinary issues. Jerrod Kerr, one of about 30 officers at the Youth Center in Marysville, used physical force last month without first making reasonable efforts to talk with the inmate, according to a center report.
