    At 4:15 a.m. Sunday, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to a one-vehicle fatal crash on Farm-to-Mark Road 1997 in Harrison County near the city of Marshall. Preliminary crash investigation revealed a 2001 GMC Sierra was traveling North on FM-1997 when, for an unknown reason, the driver went partially off the east side of the road then over corrected to the left, a news release from DPS said.

    Three people are dead after a Saturday crash about ten miles south of Marshall, according to troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety. The crash happened just after 4 p.m. Saturday on State Highway 43. Victoria Sherman, 21, was driving a 2002 Mercury at an unsafe speed and crossed the center line, troopers said.
