    According to Marshall Police, Michael Wayne Baird, 37, was arrested at his home Wednesday in the 300 block of Dickson Street. Baird had been placed on the wanted list for a warrant out of Marshall, but police said he was out of town when the U.S. Marshal's Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force arrived at his home to take him into custody.

    On June 19, 2018 at approximately 12:42 AM, Troopers responded to a one vehicle fatal crash on FM-31 in Harrison County, 10 miles south of the city of Marshall. Preliminary crash investigation revealed that the driver of a 2003 Honda Accord, identified as Noah Tyson Langston, 20, of Jefferson was traveling south on FM-31 in the right lane when a deer entered the roadway from the right.
