    The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office has asked a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Damon Thibodeaux , the former Marrero resident who accuses the detectives of violating his constitutional rights coercing his false confession that landed him on Louisiana's death row. Thibodeaux, 40, who now lives in Minnesota, spent 15 years under threat of execution for his first-degree murder conviction in the death of Crystal Champagne.
