    Have you ever wondered what kind of news could cause you to be extremely excited about Marquette basketball, but not have any actual changing impact on the team or its recruiting? Well, I think we figured out the apex of that intersection on Wednesday, as Marquette announced that Class of 2018 signee Joey Hauser has completed his high school coursework and has enrolled at Marquette, effective immediately. Hauser will be redshirting for the 2017-18 season and will not play at all this season while he recovers from ankle surgery that ended his senior season at Stevens Point Area High School.

    Marquette women's basketball finished the week with a record of 5-4 after going 2-1 with home wins over Wisconsin and Army and a road loss to then-#24 Michigan . The Associated Press voters didn't penalize the Golden Eagles all that much for their loss to the ranked Wolverines, as MU still earned votes in this week's poll , one week after falling out of the top 25.     Hot shooting from their opponents once again doomed the Wisconsin Badgers as the Marquette Golden Eagles shot nearly 53 percent from the field in a 82-63 win over UW at the Kohl Center on Saturday afternoon. Guard Andrew Rowsey lit up the scoreboard with a game-high 24 points on 6-of-9 shooting , including 18 during a key second-half run by Marquette that squelched Wisconsin's momentum.
