    Harold Roe, a wildlife artist of international renown whose detailed and colorful renderings of waterfowl won awards and helped conservation efforts, died Monday in Hospice of Northwest Ohio on South Detroit Avenue. He was 87. Mr. Roe of Sylvania was an honorary national trustee of Ducks Unlimited, the waterfowl and wetlands conservation group.

    A woman charged with forging records and stealing identities in connection to an illegal immigration case pleaded guilty Friday in federal court to manufacturing fraudulent documents and aggravated identity theft, among other crimes. Federal agents accused Martha Buendia-Chavarria - a Mexican national and resident of Marion, Ohio - of manufacturing false identity documents and passing them to illegal immigrants seeking employment in northwest Ohio, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court in October. 4 comments

    The recently hired superintendent at Tiffin City Schools was found guilty and fined by a municipal court judge Monday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Gary Barber, 53, originally pleaded not guilty in Tiffin Municipal Court to charges stemming from a May 30 OVI incident, according to online court records.
